For three generations, Beking's Poultry Farm has been leading the way in cage-free farming methods, and abide by the ethos that a happy and healthy hen makes a fantastic egg. From just south of Ottawa in Oxford Station, these eggs are delivered within one to four days of being laid, ensuring some of the freshest eggs you can get. The farm is working towards producing a fully carbon neutral egg, and already employs solar panels, heat exchangers, and manure composting to reduce their footprint.
The small flock of hens that lay these certified organic eggs live in a spacious environment with access to pasture when weather permits. They are fed a diet of locally-sourced, certified organic, non-GMO feed, and augment their own diet with foraging. The result is these lovely eggs - either these chickens are happy, or they're really good at faking it!
This is an add-on subscription, rather than a pre-paid subscription, so your card will be charged on a recurring basis according to the schedule you choose.
